Phase 2: YAKU

It feels like forever but NYC’s entering Phase 2 on Monday and it’ll be 4th of July before we know it. Yes summer is here and I sincerely hope you and I get to enjoy the outdoors as much possible.

So, in case you’re asking what is changing in regards to my practice, here’s what’s coming up:

I invite you breath in the open air with me.

YAKU: AGUA

Starting July 1st, I will be holding space outdoors—near a body of water—to continue aiding your rebalancing process. YAKU (water in Quechua) is a perfect opportunity to reconnect physically this summer. As always, this is a one-on-one experience that involves kundalini breathwork, light stretching, shamanic journeying, Chakra rebalancing and Reiki.

Sessions can be arranged in the city (Chelsea Piers) or at Jones Beach on Long Island any day of the week. And, in order to protect us both, we will maintain the necessary social distance guidelines outdoors. I trust you are taking enough precautions to stay safe. Part of my strategy going forward is to follow the NYC Health guidelines and get tested for Covid every month. I was last tested for antibodies on May 20th and it looks like I have not yet been exposed to the virus, so I am maintaining the safety practices I’ve kept from the beginning of this madness. Also know that, if I see you in the city, I do not take public transport, I walk and I keep my physical social interactions to the minimum and necessary.

Since this is my first time taking my practice out in nature, I am open to discussing with you a rate that works for both of us. So, please, if this offering interests you, don’t hesitate to reach out. Advanced Booking necessary.

After two months of lockdown, I was reborn when I felt the cold sea waters bathe my toes and feet this month. When I took a deep breath in the open air and rejoiced jogging by the sea without a mask. When I exhaled down onto the wet sand and allowed it to absorb the heaviness of my out-breath. When I looked up at the sky and I let myself be entertained by the cloud formations moving in and out. The best show on Earth.

Without a doubt, sheltering-in-place has reignited my devotion to you, the sea. El Mar.

As a token of gratitude to the first five men who decide to join me in a future YAKU session, I will be gifting you a copy of El Mar photo book published by ASOBI NY in the summer of 2015. You will find this devotion to the sea I speak of, in images taken largely at Jones Beach.

The healing powers of nature is just one of the threads that connects us.
